  • The Streetscape in front of Spring Hill College was completed adding benches, trees and 11 of the signature streetlights.  The project was totally funded by private contributions.
  • Sidewalks were completed on the north side of Old Shell Road from McGregor Avenue to Myrtlewood Lane. Eleven streetlights, of which five were included in the grant, were added along the sidewalk from Spring Hill Shopping Center to Debra’s Boutique. The project was funded by a $200,000 TAP grant. TVSH provided the 20% match with funds raised in the Sidewalk-A-Thon and a generous donation from The J. L. Bedsole Foundation.
  • After five years of planning, the Roundabout at McGregor Avenue and Museum Drive was completed. With support from Commissioner Connie Hudson through the County Pay-As-You-Go program and assistance of Council President Gina Gregory to get additional support from the City of Mobile, the $1.5 million project became a reality.
  • The Fourth Annual Sidewalk-A-Thon was held to raise funds for sidewalks.
  • Boundary signage was put in place to define the Village of Spring Hill.
  • Screen on the Green featured Spring, Summer and Fall movies sponsored by Rouses Supermarkets and added pre-movie entertainment thanks to Spring Hill Comprehensive Dentistry and Big City Toys.
